5.6 update broke my site.
-
I am giving up. You are about to lose another customer. You broke my homepage with the last updates. I am here as a last resort.

I have an old Gabfire theme I bought in 2016. They sold it tyo me and went out of business. The last few core updates WP did broke my slider and rendered links unusable. So I enstalled a plugin as a temp fix which would make wordpress think I was up to date,
Well today it officially fell apart. I had to deactivate all of my plugins to find what was the problem. But I can’t find the desperation plugin.
Why isn’t word press offering alternatives to the block editor? Is there anything I can do before taking my life’s work offline?

Hi,
It looks like your site is using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but is hosted with another webhost.
We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us here at WordPress.com. For help with a WordPress site hosted elsewhere you’ll need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Depending on the level of support that is included with your hosting plan, your webhost’s support team may also be able to assist.
If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the open-source WordPress software you can read this article:
