  I heard wordpress was the best in the business for entrepreneurs like myself and easy to use with your 5 minute install process. So far I have spent nearly an hour trying to figure out what I need and still struggling to install on my local machine. Every time I try and do one thing I have to 5 more things to figure out before I can the first, this is hardly a 5 minute install. I can’t even open the PHP file provided. Any suggestions as to what what I am supposed to do to get wordpress to work properly? PS I come from a background in computers and can use both linux and windows alike

  There are 2 versions of WordPress. What we do here at WordPress.com is different from using the WordPress installation with a hosting company, known as self hosted WordPress.

  For help with the WordPress installation you’ll need to post at wordpress.org/support/
