I am an Administrator on a Business plan site. I get a 500 error saying ‘Sorry, you are not allowed to manage this resource’ when opening Production settings, and Push to Production does nothing. Please fix the production permission / ownership sync for my account.”

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The ‘not allowed to manage this resource’ error on a staging site usually indicates a permissions mismatch between your WordPress user role and your WordPress.com hosting credentials. On Business plans, staging actions like ‘Push to Production’ require specific Hosting Access permissions that are separate from the standard Administrator role. To fix this, the site owner should go to the Users > Team section of the WordPress.com dashboard and ensure that ‘Hosting Access’ is enabled for your account. If it’s already enabled, toggling it off and back on can often force a resync of the ownership permissions and resolve the 500 error.
