500 internal server error

  I just signed up for wordpress yesterday so I don’t know much about it yet but when I try to log into to the admin part of my site it gives me this error and says

  “The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

  Please contact the server administrator, (email visible only to moderators and staff) and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

  More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

  Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

  Can anyone help me out? Thanks

  That site is not hosted by WordPress.COM. Our support docs do not apply to any sites that are not hosted by WordPress.COM and we do not provide support for them. You are posting to the wrong support forum. We cannot help you here.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

  Are you sure? When i login to see my stats the site is https://wordpress.com/stats/

  Yes I am sure. Everyone running a JetPack plugin on a WordPress.ORG software install for their stats, etc. has to have an account here at WordPress.COM.

  They were wrong as you can see. You have a WordPress.ORG software install being hosted by IPage and that is what you need to post right up front when you post at WordPress.ORG support http://wordpress.org/support/
