  I think his/her website is hosted at wordpress.com only else how could he obtian wordpress.com domain?

  @vijaysarwood There are several ways, including registering a WordPressdotcom account in order to use some features of jetpack on a self-hosted WP.org site. This can lead to creation of a WPcom site address which is not being used.

  Error 500 is common to sites using WP.org, but it seems some WordPressdotcom Business plan users are affected as well.
