500 Internal Server Error

  Please help!.. Had wanted to reset my site to WP’s default (as it was before I did anything to it). I installed a WP reset plugin, must have used it wrongly, and now this all I can see:

  “500 Internal Server Error
  An error occurred while processing this request.
  Website owner? Check your code and/or debug log. If you need assistance, contact support.”

  Could you please get my site back to a clean slate so I can start afresh? I have no idea what a ‘code and/or debug log’ is.

  Thanks for writing to us. I can see the domain is pointed to WordPress.com. When did that change get added to the domain DNS records? It can take up to 72 hours for the domain to start working properly.

  The domain is pointed to us, but you still need to add the mapping to your account. Please take a look at these instructions:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  1. pick out which plan is going to be best for you. https://wordpress.com/pricing/
  2. click on My Sites – Domains – Add – Map it! and enter the domain
  3. the domain will then show the WordPress.com site
