  Hi, our website appears to be down. And WordPress itself is being very slow and glitchy. Is there something going on? How do we fix it?

  Hey there — could you send a link to the web page you’re having trouble with? I don’t see any sites associated with this account.

  Just to clarify too, if you’re managing your own copy of WordPress with a different host, you’ll want to check in with them directly. A 504 error and the bugginess you describe usually means the server is straining for some reason. If waiting it out doesn’t fix it, you might need to have them restart some services, check on MySQL, see if some other user server process is using up resources, etc. If you search the web for 504 WordPress you can see several tips along those lines — and nearly all of them involve working with your host.
