I was trying to secure my site. I installed an SSL cert through my host, TMD. That helped, but I still got the partially unsecured icon in the url field, because images were not secure. I tried the Simple SSL plugin. Installed it. Hit ‘activate’ and then immediately started getting 508 errors. The site is down and I can’t even log in to admin. Please help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, the site you’ve linked doesn’t appear to have much content posted recently. To confirm, is that the site you are referring to? If not, what is the URL of your website?
Bare in mind that if your websites uses the self-hosted version of WordPress rather than WordPress.com (which I highly suspect considering SSL is automatically installed on all WordPress.com sites and domains), you should post in the self-hosted forums or alternatively contact your hosting prover. Note the difference here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Let us know this information and we’ll try and move forward. :)
