  911Debate has been deleted by the former owners. I would like to start it but it says it is taken.

  http://911debate.wordpress.com was indeed deleted by its owners. WordPress.com does not recycle blog names but you are welcome to use an alternate name for your site. Maybe “a911debate.wordpress.com” is still available.??

  Or you could look into domain mapping, a paid upgrade, to see if that name is available.

  Oh, shoot. We do have the domain http://www.911Debate.org but it would be so nice to have 911Debate.Wordpress.com

  Why not recycle names? What’s the big deal?If the former owners did not want it, what is the problem?
  Please reconsider.

  Impersonation and trademark abuse are huge issues, and WP.com just wanted to prevent them from becoming a problem here.
