  What is the $99 initial charge for WordPress? I thought it was $8 per month for my package?

  WordPress.com bills yearly for the package, so the $99 is the full price you would pay for the upgrade. The monthly fee listed is that amount divided by 12 and is only shown for comparison purposes.
