  I keep being asked to pay $99 when i selected free. Why is this and how do i remove it?

  Hi there,

  Where exactly are you being asked to pay this? I see one site in your account, http://thetreehouseonline.wordpress.com/, and that site is on the free plan. The only case where you’ll be asked to pay is if you’ve added a paid plan under My Site ->Plans, or a custom domain at My Site ->Domains.

  To add a custom domain you will need to add a plan first, so if you’re trying to add a domain that’s why this is happening.
