A backdated Post not showing in my RSS Feed
-
I have inserted a backdated post onto my site at slowenglish.wordpress.com. However that backdated post is not being picked up in my RSS Feed. Any thoughts? I think the backdating has affected it in some way. The backdated post is ‘Podcast 1 – Introduction’. (http://slowenglish.wordpress.com/2012/11/15/podcast-1-introduction/)
Hope someone can assist.

You’re correct: the backdating is exactly why this is showing up. The RSS feed only shows new posts, not old ones, and you’ve basically convinced the feed mechanism that this post is old.

Okay. Thanks for your response. I was wondering if I deleted the RSS feed altogether and then set it up anew, whether the full list of posts (including my backdated one) would then show up. Any thoughts on that?

I just tried deleting the feed then re-establishing it. However, it is still not picking up the backdated post.

Okay. I meant in feedburner itself. Anyway, it hasn’t worked. Looks like I’m stuck with having to repost that post using a current date. Cheers.

Or you can leave the Post alone and make a new Post that says I have put a Post back in the Archives – the new Post then goes out with a link to the one in the Archive and the Archive Post keeps the date you want on it
