A blog I deleted still exists?

I just recieved an email to (email visible only to moderators and staff) (an email I’ve used here for a while) that someone was following my blog “The Flight of the Highly Carbonated Butterfly.” This is a blog that I did create, but deleted (I thought) years ago. I cannot access the blog from this account any longer. I don’t remember if I had a different account, but it is still connected to the same email if that is the case. If that is the case, I don’t remember my login for it so that I can take care of it. Thanks so much!

You can only have one account and username per email address on WordPress.com, so it’s unlikely that it’s a different account. I googled your blog title and found this: http://thecarbonatedbutterfly.wordpress.com/ Is that your old blog? If it was created on your current account it should be visible under My blogs from your dashboard (My blogs from the Reader won’t show it if it’s set as hidden). Just make sure about that. And if the blog I linked to above isn’t yours, it could help if you post your blog’s URL here.
It could also be that you have another account and username on a different email, but you have the blog set to send notifications to the email you currently use. If that’s that case (and you have an idea what the other email and username could be) you can try the account recovery form to regain access to that account: http://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form
