a blog name that is available

  Hello,
  I am hoping to change the address of one of my blogs and the name I want to is a deleted blog.
  So the name should be available… but WordPress says that blog exists.
  Is there anyway around this? Or a period I should wait before I can get the address?
  Please let me know if you know of a solution.

  There is no way you can register a deleted blog here. There is no recycling of deleted blogs addresses ie.URLs and you can read why that it here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  Yes you can purchase a domain of your own by purchasing a domain mapping upgrade. In that case it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com sub-domain URL is.
