a blog that converted to free
-
Can you remind me what the URL is for a blog that I converted to free status after paying for a customer URL for years? Can’t seem to find. It used to be http://www.thelastjourney.net
Can you help? – Barbara Casey -
That domain was attached to
thelastjourneydotnet.wordpress.combut it belongs to a different WordPress.com account here, not the one you’re currently logged in under. If you don’t recall the password for the correct account, we have some options for you at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/

This is the response I get when I go to what I thought was the free URL that it converted to: https://thelastjourney.wordpress.com
It says the author deleted the account? I was the author and when I decided not to renew the paid account I was assured the content would stay up but would convert to the free URL which was (I thought) thelastjourney.wordpress.com

Actually, you are correct. I logged in under my other account. The account this was created under is @eldercaretips
It doesn’t change the outcome however. I cannot seem to access the content other than from within the account. I thought converting to a free account keeps the content out there but simply removes the custom domain. Did I miss something?

Typing thelastjourneydotnet.wordpress.com into a browser I get
thelastjourney.net recently expired! Oh no!
Perhaps now you don’t wish to use your custom domain name you need to make the free address the primary one?

That’s done. You can also cancel the domain so it’s off your account if you won’t be using it anymore.

By “pull up the page” you are referring to a specific page on your site, or the homepage? When I visit https://thelastjourneydotnet.wordpress.com/ I can see your site without issue for example.
You can see what I see here:
