A Bunch Of Questions
-
Each question will be removed as it’s answered
Website: MehungwayloThese questions should be answered even if I have the Custom CSS Extra.
1. On a post on the front page, can I remove the second line?
2. Can I remove the Tag, Name, Leave a Comment, and date from the front page?
3. Can I remove the Search bar?
4. At the bottom can I remove the “Get a free blog at WordPress.com Nuetra?”
5. Instead of it saying “Older Post” at the bottom can I change it to have [1] [2] [last] links like that?
6. On the top page navigation, can I make the first letter of each page capitalized?

The questions will not be removed as they are answered; you cannot remove them.
1) You can delete any lines you feel like. Just go into edit and delete them.
2) Only with a good knowledge of CSS and the paid CSS upgrade. You’re on your own with it, so don’t buy it until you already know how to do this.
3) On some themes it’s built in, but with the CSS upgrade you can hide it. If it’s not built in, you can just take it out of the sidebar.
4) One of the conditions of having a free blog at WordPress.com is displaying this information. So, while it’s theoretically possible, you might get your blog deleted for a violation of the agreement you signed up with when you started here.
5) No. Not even with the CSS upgrade
6) Yes, with the CSS upgrade.

Yes, I did. Number one is correct: if you wish to delete your content, go ahead and delete it.
-
Do you or do you not have the CSS upgrade?

I’m making a buying decision, obviously.Raincoaster: No, the lines I’m talking about is the second line… The first line is the one that has orange, gray, and blue… The second line doesn’t it’s just a gray line. Thats not being put there by me.

I do not know whether or not that line supplied by the theme can be removed by CSS editing. It could be in the underlying template and if so then we cannot edit templates at wordpress.com.
If you want a definitive answer on what can or cannot be by editing the CSS stylesheet then there’s a preview function you can use yourself to find the answer. Appearance > Edit CSS.

Oh, you don’t mean a line of TEXT. It’s easier to answer questions if you are more specific when you ask them.
-
Raincoaster, any reasonable person would assume I meant the lines I was refering to.
How can I be any more specific about a line? its my lack of specifity that makes me specific.

I don’t know and suggest that the Volunteers who do help with CSS are not likely to find this thread in the Questions forum as they usually help in threads posted to the CSS customization forum.Since there is no official Staff support for the CSS upgrade, and precious little Volunteer support, I recommend that you don’t buy the upgrade unless you have at least moderate understanding of HTML and CSS because you must be prepared to do the work on your own.

At the end of the Custom CSS entry in the support documentation I linked to above you will find links to CSS resources and CSS tutorials http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/#css-help

If you wish I will flag this thread so it’s moved to the CSS Customization forum for you.
