  Clear Image Investigations has privateinvestigatorinlosangeles blog
  They went out of business
  I own this website and cannot get ahold of them to see if I can have the blog
  (I own both privateinvestigatorinlosangeles.com and .net as well as privateinvestigatorinla.com and .net

  how do I get the one where the company went under? (privateinvestigatorinlosangeles)?

  We don’t recycle addresses as a rule, so my best advice is to use a custom domain on your blog, like those you mention: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
