A couple of CSS wishes for my blog

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello everyone,

    I’ve been using wordpress CSS for a couple of weeks now (MistyLook theme) and i thing I’m getting a hang of it, but I just don’t understand some things:
    – How do I remove the borders around the pictures in the authors widget in the sidebar?
    – How do I justify my text in the blogposts, without justifying the rest of the text (e.g. headers)?
    – How do I change the font color in the sidebar headers?

    I hope someone can help me.

    No idea.
    How do I justify my text in the blogposts, without justifying the rest of the text (e.g. headers)?
    You don’t need CSS for that. There’s a text justify icon in your post editor dashboard.
    How do I change the font color in the sidebar headers?
    Change the color # in
    li.sidebox h2 {…}
    in the CSS

    The sidebox worked. Thanks.

    I know it’s possible to justify the text in the editor, but this would mean I have to edit all my posts. Isn’t there a way to do this through CSS?

    Does anyone else know anything about the borders?

    Possibly

    p {…
    text-align: justify;
    …}

    I found a solution for the border thing. I just have to add:
    img { border-style: none; }

    Somehow it worked!

    And about the justify option: how will i be sure that my headings won’t be justified?

    How will i be sure that my headings won’t be justified?
    p settings (paragraph) do not effect h (header).

    It worked. Great!

    Dow you also happen to know how to get rid of the ‘feeds’ section and the footer?

  • Unknown's avatar

    That would eliminate all border of any image displayed regardless its position. If you only want no border on sidebar maybe this is another solution?

    #sidebar li.sidebox p img {
    margin:0;
    padding:3px;
    border:none;
    background:inherit;
    }

    Justify the content only:

    #content p {...
    text-align:justify;
    ...}

    Please note that if none of the above is such a help, pardon my flaw as I use mobile phone by now.

    You can use
    display: none;
    for the
    #footer

    While possible, I would not do it. After all, you are using wordpress.com as your blogging platform, and credit should be given where credit is due.
