A couple of questions for new blog…

  Hi ,
  I have my blog on WordPress.com for a while now. I just wanted to know , how do I install google analytics plugin and some themes which I have downloaded and are not available from the search themes section.
  Also how do I enable google search on my blog so visitors can search within my blog.

  I have installed wordpress on my machine just to get those features and am trying to figure it out.

  Could you please help, I am new to this.

  We don’t allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org.

  However, we do have some great stats in the Site Stats section of your Dashboard.

  As for themes, they unfortunately can’t be uploaded to WordPress.com either. That’s also a feature of self-hosted blogs through WordPress.org.

  You may use any of the available themes we have under Appearance > Themes in your dashboard. If you are CSS-savvy, you may want to look into purchasing the Custom CSS Upgrade to customize one of the themes we offer:

  Wow that was quick. Thankyou very much, I will look into this. I like wordpress , maybe in a few months I will learn some stuff about web and host it somewhere.
