A Couple Search Widget Questions (not answered in FAQ)

  Hey,
  I am wondering if you:
  1) Can simply have the search box in the sidebar header where the title for the widget would be
  2) Edit the default text inside the search box or make it so “site:” is automatically written in the box?

  We cannot access the files and edit templates underlying our themes at wordpress.com. This is a multiuser blogging platform. In essence all using the same theme are using the same template. Only Staff can access and edit the template files. http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/editing-themes/

  You can add a title to the Search widget by clicking it and typing one in when it opens. Then you click “Save” and “Close”.
