A custom domain
-
Hello,
We are intending to promote our site https://nepalimigrants.home.blog/
1) We are not sure which plan PERSONAL or PREMIUM is suitable to achieve our goal of monetising our site as a digital magazine. However, moving cautiously ahead is always a good practice so we better joining for a year (entry year) from the Personal plan initially. What do you think?
2) We have posted contents already on our site, are they appeared properly on new custom domain as well ? we are intending to keep our custom domain as: MAHURIMAGAZINE.COM is it available/possible?
3) Being a kind of social media, should we even register our site with the local authority too?
4) If the site registration is needed with the local authority, are we allowed to register this site from different country than the country where custom domain has been purchased?
5) What about the published valuable contents, if we no longer wish to continue the site due to other assignments/engagements ?
6) Can we not have ‘a limited-time 15% “New User” discount’as we have the code?
It would be appreciated if you could provide unique and separate answers of the above six question, that helps us to take a decisions.
Kind Regards
Paradeshi

Hi Paradeshi, I’ll answer in numerical order too . :)
1. You’d be welcome to start with Personal then upgrade later if you’d like. Premium does qualify for WordAds by default, but you won’t make much money until you have good organic traffic anyway, so it wouldn’t hurt to start on Personal and build go from there.
2. The custom domain will automatically start working if you set it as your default site URL. Older links will work, too, and will be automatically redirected.
3., 4. I don’t have advice on this, but we don’t have any issues with this on our end.
5. As long as you keep up access to the site (make sure the real owner has the email address and that it’s active, for example) you can remove content when you want to. Just be mindful that once something goes up on the web, it’s possible for it to be archived, etc.
6. You can use a code. Don’t post it our forums though — I’ll remove it for you :D
Let us know if you have more questions!
