A deleted photo still appears in Google , and it should not be there!
-
I deleted a photo but it still appears in Google. It’s very important that one can’t see it there. It appears under images while typing in a certain event. I deleted the Article I made with WordPress and I deleted those two photos. One photo has gone, one not. Here the link for it. It’s really important that it goes away. Thanks for your help. Thee

see google’s help page “remove an image from google image search“.
BTW if you do nothing it will go away, but could take a month or so.

Thanks for your answer. I read all instructions. So, Google says, this source doesn’t belong to them, it a source from WordPress. I should contact a webmaster from WordPress to remove this link with the photo or block it. How do I reach a webmaster from WP ?

You are the webmaster for your site!
I think that google have made a mistake, you have already removed the original. Clicking on the “show original” on the google page gives 404 — File not found.

Hi
yes, I know, the original photo, the big size has gone. But the Thumbnail is still appearing when one type in at Google:
Elite model look 2013
I don’t think I’m the webmaster. I didn’t create this site over with my dreamweaver. It was made with a simple article over WordPress where I have added two photos. Funny wise, one photo doesn’t appear anymore. Only the one portrait. And the source is wordpress. So it must be there somewhere.Or do you think it will goe away as soon Google crawls again ? Hope if this is the reason, hope they do this soon.

I think it will go away when Google crawls again, but this could be a month or so. I’m going to flag this thread for staff attention to see if they can do anything to help, or in case I am wrong, but my understanding is that you control the blog content and so are webmaster of your blog.
Please be patient, staff look at threads in order and it might take a while for them to get to this one.

thanks so much for your help. I try to explain why it’s so important. I took some shots from this girl. This photo is 2 years ago. I took some new photos. She applied for this very important model contest for this year. I made an article about her big dream, to become a model. I added two photos. The one we are talking about and another one which has gone ( fortunately) Now her family wants me to remove all tracks about her. Seems it’s forbidden to add photos about the Finalists. I didn’t know that before. I even didn’t know that she wanted the photos to enroll there. Of course, I do not want that she gets disqualified cause of me.
My status here: the site is deleted, even the trash. The photos are out of my media libreria.
No idea what else I can do. As I said, the thumbnail appears under images while googeling.Would really be great when it goes away, hope sooner than a month.
I really appreciate your help, LG Thee
sorry my English, my mother tongue is German -
Staff have earlier indicated that the image cache on WordPress.com is emptied about once every 3 days, so it should be gone the next time Google crawls.
But as this thread is already tagged for Staff, they should be able to remove that image for you completely if it is urgent (and maybe also remove the links to it from this forum thread since clicking on it brings me to the image and these forums are regularly crawled by search engines.)

Hi there, could you please provide another link to the image? The previous one didn’t seem to work. If I can get the path to the image on WordPress.com I can delete it permanently, although it may still show up in searches if Google has cached it.
-
I think I was able to extract the image path from that longer link you provided – was this it? http://theephotography.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/fg10.jpg
If so, I’ve removed it from all the WordPress.com file servers.
The rest is up to Google as we can’t control how often they refresh their cache – it could be a few weeks or a few days.
Just let me know if you need further help.

Thank you very much, yep, that was the photo. I know, it’s a harmless photo but the rules from this contest are very hard.
I wait now and see if Googles crawls quickly :-) Thanks very much for your support
have good day, LG Thee
