A desperate noob in need! Home page issues

  To anyone willing to help (I appreciate it in advance!),

  This morning, I updated the URL on my website: https://huntingpurple.wordpress.com

  For the most part it was a success, but now, when you click the ‘home’ page button, the site still tries to take you to the old website address, and the error ‘page doesnt exist – authors have deleted’ page is what comes up.

  I have looked in the theme customisation settings, and ensured the standard home page option is ticked (not a static home page, like i used to have).

  Am i missing something obvious here? I hope so!

  Hi Elliot , There have been reports lately of re-named sites having issues, like you are describing. Staff will be able to help you get it fixed.   Thank yo so much to both of you for taking the time to reply and fix my issue.

  Unfortunately, @supernovia The issue is still there. The ‘home’ link is taking me to ‘experimentel.wordpress.com’ which is my old URL.

  On a side note (last question i promise!) – are plugins a feature for premium users only?

  We have built-ins rather than traditional plugins here, since plugins would modify the code we’re trying to maintain for you. Which feature did you need?

  I was specifically looking for a plugin that displays a random quote on evry webpage (but ideally i wanted to input the quotes!). Is there a list of all the built-ins available somewhere?

  @experimentel I don’t think we have a feature like that, but I’ll look around to see if I can find a similar option.

  I did a little digging: I found a feature request for a random quote widget, and added your vote there.

  And we do have a widget that can display a random image, if you wanted to use quotes that are images. If you do that, just be sure to add the text in the description, too, so folks with vision issues can still enjoy your quotes :)
