A different theme appears than the one I activated

    I uploaded a theme and it shows up when I decided on a different theme which I downloaded from the wordpress website. I customized the latter theme, saved it, activated it, but when I go to my sample website the uploaded theme (from a .zip file) keeps appearing! I deleted the .zip theme from my wordpress website yet it continues to appear. Is there a database error here?

    https://rileykaniewski.wordpress.com/ is currently using AltoFocus for the theme.

    It’s only possible to upload a custom theme on WordPress.com as part of the Business Plan upgrade.

    This account does not have any upgrades. All of the themes available for use on a free site are found at wordpress.com/themes/
