A different user purchased a plan for the wrong wordpress site

I gave a user access to purchase a plan so we could map the site from the domain they own already. Unfortunately they purchased a plan for the wrong WordPress site. Is there a way to get this transferred to the correct site?

They purchased a personal plan for bundleupscom.wordpress.com

we need it associated with bundleups.wordpress.com

  • Hi,

The short answer is that this is easily fixed. The longer answer is that you’ll have to ask the user who purchased the plan to contact our support team here:

    https://wordpress.com/help/contact

…and ask for assistance to make the switch.

Or, if it would be easier, you can ask the plan owner to post here on this forum thread.

    Many thanks for reaching out.

I see a support request opened with regards to this issue.

This shall be resolved via that support request.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hello-

Now that the site has been transferred to the correct WordPress site, bundle-ups.com is still directing/mapped to the incorrect site of bundleupscom.wordpress.com and not bundleups.worpress.com. Is this just because the severs haven’t caught up? I see now that the plan purchased is listed in the dashboard for the correct site though.

    Thanks!

  • https://bundle-ups.com/ is definitely loading bundleups.wordpress.com right now.

When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, your domain may go to its old location, and you may also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors.”

If you still have trouble viewing the site after 24 hours have passed, please try clearing your browser’s cache: https://www.refreshyourcache.com/

If that doesn’t work, try clearing your local DNS cache: https://protonvpn.com/support/flush-dns-cache/

That’s what I thought, but wanted to confirm. Thanks!
