A Discussion and Promotion Forum?
-
Hey,
I’m really new here and I thought just to get some word out about my new blog on gaming I’d post a topic, i assumed in the support section and have been told its tagged for closure, despite some people actually wanting to read my blog and have me read there’s and replying on it.
So why don’t we have forums like these where we can do that without the topic being taken down?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If those rules had been respected the forums we had previously would still exist. But the forums we had for such purposes were not used as they were intended to be used. The opportunistic spamming of both the Off-Topic and Showcase Forums and trolling involved far to much Staff time moderating and closing threads and sorting disputes and that brought and end to them.
That why we have only technical support forums that cannot be used for blog promotion or discussion purposes. It’s why we now have a policy of telling bloggers to promote their blog in the numerous social networks available to them. It’s also why we encourage leaving valuable comments on blogs with similar content. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/forums-housekeeping?replies=1
