A domain I don’t have is routing to my site!
-
I have registered matthewRwatson.wordpress.com (domain A), and would like to add matthewwatson.wordpress.com (domain B) with the “domains” option. The problem is that B already forwards to A and I don’t know why! When I try to add B in the dashboard, I get this message:
That hostname cannot be added to this blog.
The reason I need to add the domain is that I would like to move everything from prince.wordpress.com (domain C, which I also own) to B. When I try to register B, it tells me the blog already exists.
Does anyone know why B would route to my site if I don’t and can’t own it? Thanks.

A good point.
The thing is, blog B has effectively been wiped off the map by the domain mapping (which seems to already be in effect; staff can hopefully clarify for you on Monday).
The way it’s working now (and will with domain mapping B to A), you can’t add the contents of C to it without adding those contents to A as well. Is this what you want?

Thanks. I don’t mind putting all my contents on A, as long as I can be sure that B will always redirect to A. I’m just trying to figure out if I own B, so I can be sure of controlling it in the future.

Contact staff, and do it today before they close. If they’ve done this already for you at least they’ll be able to confirm it.
