A domain was used previously. How to use again with new account?

A domain that Iown was previously registered to another blog that I had. This blog was deleted later but today when I try to register this domain with my new blog it still says my domain is already connected to a blog.
The domain tool says “Please contact support if you wish to delete a registered domain.” but the link end here.
Please advice.

The multiple warnings that deleting a blog URL is permanent and irreversible provided throughout the deletion process say it all. You cannot recover a deleted blog URL. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

You should be able to transfer the domain mapping to the correct blog –
Try: Dashboard >> Store >> My Upgrades >> Mouse over the domain mapping upgrade and see if there is a Transfer option – if so transfer the mapping – if that does not work @TT has flagged this for the staff to help
What blog do you want the domain name to map to and what is the domain name you own?

@TT – yes a saw that after I had typed my response – but at my typing speed I did not want to waste a redundant effort on my part by deleting the redundant typing :)
@andreashoyem – if you don’t see the Transfer option you are probably not logged in as the account that owns the Upgrade – is there another account that you might have used to buy the upgrade?
Also the staff will need to know the domain name you need help with to verify ownership and make sure they do not make an error

@andreashoyem – if you go back to the Store >> My Upgrades you will see something like below
Domain: sbcdef.com
Domain Mapped to WordPress.com
Purchased by wwssxxThe Purchased by – will refer to the web site that owns the upgrade – the name will be the user name / display name that bought the Upgrade – does the display name or web site look familiar?

Hi Andreas – I removed the mapping from the deleted blog, so you should be able to map it to the new one now. Let me know if you still have trouble!
