A few little problems getting started

    Hi WordPress,

    I’m new to blogging and need a little help. There are a fews things I can’t figure out;

    1) I chose a colour for my header but it doesn’t show. In fact there is a ‘misty’ effect over header. Is it activated?

    2) My musicfunding.wordpress.com URL doesn’t show in Google results.

    3) Is the default setting that everytime I write a post, the comments section is activated? I wrote my first post yesterday and there is no comments section shown but on my ‘about page’ there is. I can’t work that out.

    I’d appreciate some advice and guidance from yourselves or anyone else.

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    1) The text color looks to match for me. Did you sort that part out? I see the same color on the front end of your site as I do at Appearance > Header in the Dashboard.

    2) Your blog will eventually be indexed by search engines unless you’ve chosen to block them under Settings->Privacy but it’s up to Google to decide when and how to include your site in search results, we have no control over that.

    Google does offer some information and tools for webmasters, you might find more information in our support docs.

    3) The default setting is for comments to appear on each post. You can adjust this at Settings > Discussion in your blog’s Dashboard. The comment form for posts will appear on single posts so if you don’t see it can you try clicking the blog post’s title?
