A few of my readers have since last night been having difficulty commenting

    Regular readers of my blog are trying to comment and are receiving an error message telling them “You must be logged in to comment with that email address.” As their email addresses have not changed since the last time they commented , they don’t know what to do and have contacted me. Has anything gone wrong?

    We’ve recently updated our commenting system. Now, if someone tries to comment with an email address that’s attached to a WordPress.com account, they’ll need to sign into WordPress.com before they can comment.

    If commenters have forgotten their password they can request a reset:
    http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

    If someone tries to comment with an email that’s not tied to a WordPress.com account, they won’t need to sign up for an account (unless you’ve enabled this option at Settings -> Discussion).
