A few questions to solve a few problems
-
Hi all..two questions.
First is.. how can I get rid of the line break on this page http://lisamichele.wordpress.com/recipe-index/. I want to list the recipes one under the other, without having to use the text edit each time. Not being able to just add a recipe without that line break is driving me nuts, as I have to copy and paste into the text editor whenever I want to add a new recie link..so I kept the line break so I wouldn’t have to do so. Any help would be appreciated.
Second question..
I’ve been told I cannot have printable pages (my recipes) or photos one can’t click on..yet my friend had both, and she doesn’t have any upgrade..just plain wordpress.com. Her page is here http://melangerbaking.com/ She said it’s always been like that for her..no paid upgrade at all!My blog is at http://lisamichele.wordpress.com
Thanks in advance!!

Re Q1: It can be done, but I don’t think you should do it: since some of the titles span more than one line, the list will be confusing without line breaks.
Re Q2: For non-clickable images, you need to click “None” after uploading and before inserting a new image. You’ll only have to do this once: the uploader will remember your preference. You can also corrret the images you have lready inserted, by clicking on them (in the visual post editor) then clicking the edit button that shows up (the mountain icon).

I can make the recipe titles much shorter if need be. I would like to know how to fix that linebreak :)

Re 1: For a carriage return without a blank line, you press shift-return in the visual editor (or return in the html editor).
Re 2: Click image, click mountain icon, click the “None” button you can see below the “Link URL” box, click Update, click Update Page.

Thank you, pana!
rain, as for her not having an upgrade, she swears she has none..nada. So, this leads me to wonder how she’s able to get the printable page option (???)
-
That’s not available as an upgrade: but she obviously has domain mapping, doesn’t she? Or her URL would be melangerbaking.wordpress.com instead.
-
You’re right, rain..I didn’t even notice that and I typed it. No idea why she would say she didn’t have an upgrade, but maybe someone else set it up for her. Regardless, is WP.com EVER going to give us printable pages for free like Blogspot, Typepad et al?

http://melangerbaking.com/ is not hosted here, it is self-hosted. From the source code of that blog:
<meta name="generator" content="WordPress 2.8.6" /> -

http://melangerbaking.com/ is hosted at theplanet.com. The nameservers for that domain name point to:
NameServer: NS1.THEPLANET.COM
NameServer: NS2.THEPLANET.COMAnd apparently have since March 23, 2009 according to the whois information.
