A Fixed Header Image and Top Menu?

At the moment I’m having to change my theme, because the Automattic theme, Photo Blog has been retired.
I have upgraded to take advantage of the premium themes, but still not got what I’m after.
I am now using their own, free theme, Apostrophe 2. It’s ok, but there’s one thing I am looking for. The Header and Menu, used to be fixed and remain in view on the screen. The post would appear to slide under the header and menu. So, my question is, can I fix the header and menu, or is this hard coded into the theme and not fixable? If this cannot be done, is there a theme that would be a good alternative?
