Be aware that we cannot block or delete subscribers from public blogs. Everyone on the internet can view and follow any public blog. That is in fact what the public designation means and anyone anyone with internet access can follow your public blog’s RSS Feed.
Anyone with a WordPress.COM/Gravatar account can click the like button on your posts or pages from the Admin bar so disabling the like button to shed yourself of a single gravatar displaying is not very useful. http://en.support.wordpress.com/likes/#turn-likes-onoff-on-specific-posts-or-pages
You can change your blog visibility to “private” http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/ Please read this about public blogs that become private blogs > Blog Privacy and Subscribers > http://wpcommaven.wordpress.com/2011/09/05/blog-privacy-and-subscribers/
Note that you have complete control over everything that’s posted to your blog via comment moderation
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-moderationYou don’t have to post any comment on your blog. Delete troll posts http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/03/27/how-to-starve-a-troll/

Hi there,
Which of your sites is this person following? I didn’t see anyone following the blog which you contacted us about.
Thanks in advance!
-
You can also use the “Report abuse” link on this person’s gravatar profile if you are logged in to Gravatar.

@justjennifer
Thanks for the addition. :)@jacquezoccoli
If someone has an inappropriate rating for a Gravatar image, please log into to Gravatar and use the “Report Abuse” link on their Gravatar profile bottom right hand corner to let Staff know. Also note that on this page > Settings > Discussion if you scroll down you will find you can set a Maximum Rating for gravatar display on your blog.
G — Suitable for all audiences
PG — Possibly offensive, usually for audiences 13 and above
R — Intended for adult audiences above 17
X — Even more mature than aboveIf the follower has an inappropriate blog hosted here at WordPress.com, you can also report that to us so we can deal with that: Report Mature or Spam Blogs http://en.support.wordpress.com/report-blogs/
Please do not forget to answer the question amightywp (staff) asked above.

@tt-for sure. :) Rereading the OP, I don’t think the Gravatar image itself is the problem. It seems to be the links that are found on the Profile page.
-
I also just got followed by this person “Emily” and the site / person looks like spam and has weird stuff on it. I want to make my site private because it has pictures of my child.

You can change your blog visibility to “private” by selection option 3 here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/ Please read this about public blogs that become private blogs > Blog Privacy and Subscribers > http://wpcommaven.wordpress.com/2011/09/05/blog-privacy-and-subscribers/

Thank you Jennifer and all of you. I went to find her again and her profile is gone, so I think we got rid of her.
Thanks so much.Jacque

You are welcome but now Staff have to remove that signature link drop and blog promotional text to your blog because posting that here is not allowed.
-
@jacquezoccoli – sure would be a bummer if your blog was suspended for spamming & link dropping in a tech support forum
-
No, no!!!!
I think it is resolved. I went to her profile and it’s gone.
Is it not resolved???Jacque
PS
I do not know how to respond to you online on the site. Please educate me. . .
Thank you! -
@ jacquezoccoli
I’m glad to hear the Emily problem is resolved.
Auxclass and Timethief were trying to let you know that it’s not ok to include links to your site or your business in your support forum posts. If you are responding directly from e-mail what probably happened is your e-mail signature got included in your response by mistake.
I went ahead and removed that for you.
Happy Blogging!

I do not know how to respond to you online on the site. Please educate me. . .
If you receive a notification of a new post in a forum thread you are subscribed to, you can click on the “Reply” button in the email notification, rather than clicking reply in your email program. That will bring you to this thread directly and you will have to be logged in to reply.
@lizthefair-Thanks for removing it, but I’m starting to notice more of these in the forums (and I’m not here that often!). Maybe not siglines per se, but full content of the notification email. Granted that different email programs deal with replies differently, but perhaps this needs to be explored?
