A follower has passed away. Wife wants me to change the email address for her.

  As above – widow can’t change the email address herself, how do I do it for her.

  They get email notifications.

  Wants to replace (email visible only to moderators and staff) (old) with (email visible only to moderators and staff) (new).

  Hi there,

  Only someone with access to the subscriber’s email address can change the subscriptions that go to that email. (Blog owners can’t change the details for people who subscribe to their sites.)

  If she has access to that old email address, she can unsubscribe it by going to https://subscribe.wordpress.com/ and entering the email under “Manage Your Subscriptions.”

  However, either way she can subscribe to your blog with her own email address by entering her email address under “Follow Blog via Email” in your site’s sidebar: http://elirab.me/

  Thanks for the advice.
  I have now advised her what to do.
  If all fails, I’ll have to go around to her place and do it for her!
