A follower is abusive
-
I have a follower who has just started following my blog. He (or she) has said on their blog that they abuse and offend everyone who has a blog. How do I either block this person or remove and not let them follow again. Their blog address is http://aopinionatedman.com My writings are just lighthearted fun without opinionated man ruining it with his abusive comments. I know I reject his comments but it still hurts me to even read what he puts.
In advance thank you for your help

Please see this previous forum discussion for excellent suggestions on how to deal with troll comments: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/abusive-commentor.
If you are being harassed by another WordPress.com user, you can report them here: http://en.wordpress.com/abuse/

There is a much, much simpler solution here: just report that blog as spam. Those ads are ALL banned here. It shouldn’t take many people reporting it to get the blog flagged as spam and suspended.

Are you sure we’re looking at the same site (aopinionatedman)? I know that ads change depending on the visitor’s IP, but do the ads you see have the “About these ads” link on them? The ones I’m looking at on that site do.

Ah, so they do! That’s what they mean by a theme “optimized for Word Ads” eh? I’ll stick with my non-optimized one. It’s cheap looking.
As for the “abuser” it’s just a troll. He’s not going to hurt anyone, he’s just going to try to get a rise out of you. Ignore him.

Um.. what? I haven’t trolled or abused anyone. I believe this commenter read my tagline and “thinks” I am about to abuse them… lol. I haven’t said a word on their website. -OM

As for “it hurts to read what he writes” just block my blog on your reader. Obviously. Please be clear when reporting or making these threads as I have broken no rules on WordPress nor said anything to you on your blog. -OM

@clareswritingblog, I’m sorry that you don’t agree with the content on some of your followers’ blogs, but their decision to follow your blog doesn’t constitute abuse. If they post a comment on your blog that you dislike, you are welcome to delete it.
I don’t see a support issue here, so I’m going to close this thread.
