A friend has asked if I wish to link with her site. Would that mean ‘giving up’ my blog?

A friend has sent me an invite to be an administrator on her own blog site. She has mentioned ‘linking’ our two blog sites together. Would this mean ‘giving up’ my blog? What does ‘being an administrator’ on her blog site mean/entail?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Would this mean ‘giving up’ my blog?

If someone adds you as an admin or as any other user role for his/her blog, that means you’ll have those privileges for his/her blog. In no way, it means giving up your own blog. If will have access to two blogs(one your own and the other your friend’s).
You can anytime switch between two blogs by clicking on My Sites > Switch Site option.

What does ‘being an administrator’ on her blog site mean/entail?

Having an admin access means you’ll have full power over the website and can do anything that you can already with your own site.
*Note: Administrators are not able to transfer site ownership if they do not own the site. Administrators are not able to revise or manage paid upgrades that are owned by a different user on the site.

Please read more about administrator role in the link below:

Please read more about user roles(like admin, editor, author, etc) in the link below:

Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks!
