A general question about future possiblities

    I need help with a different site that I am about to create. I am about to build a new wordpress.com free website for an educational side kick/small business. I’d like to know if I create a free domain (email visible only to moderators and staff), can I later use the same domain name, taking out the wordpress.com, buy a host and transfer to either to a paid wordpress.com OR a wordpress.org account?

    Your free site is hosted here at WordPress.com so it would be easier to upgrade that site to a paid plan to add a custom domain address. Building a .org site would involve dealing with some other host entirely.
