A Glitch in the System?

    I’m having a problem with my blog posts. It would seem that as soon as I post an entry, I get a comment from a user who has the same username as the title of the entry I just posted. The content of the comment is a section from the entry I just posted. It’s clear to me this is a glitch, and for the first entry this happened to, I’ve deleted the comment. But it would also appear I’m not getting any traffic whatsoever to those entries for which the glitch occurred with. I’m wondering how I can fix this problem, because I would like my writing to be viewed by the WordPress community.

    That’s because you’ve created links in each post to other posts in your blog. This automatically creates a comment, as a pingback, usually this is to track if other people link to your post in their post, and it creates a way to connect similar posts. There’s nothing malicious or glitchy with them at all, it’s up to you whether or not you wish for the comments to be posted, it’s not preventing others finding your posts.

    As for the low traffic, that is because your blog is quite new, so first of all Google has not had time to index your site, so people can’t find it through search engines. It may take some months for Google to do this. Secondly, you are including way too many tags for each of your posts, this prevents your posts being found in the wordpress.com reader, which is the other main source of readers. So, go and remove most of the tags in your posts, you should aim for less than 15 in total (tags and categories) on each of your posts. Then it’s up to you to create quality content that people will want to read so you can get followers, and more views. They will come if good content is there, it just takes time. Best of luck!
