A hacker asked for a password reset, my blog it's under attack
-
Somebody asked for a password reset two hours ago. Why and how? Nobody else has access to my blog, so it’s a hacker. What can I do to protect myself?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’ve tagged this thread so a member of staff takes a look. It might just be someone mistakenly trying to reset their password but typing in your blog address but it’s better to be safe. Staff will probably want to see the email you received so they can make sure it’s not a spam/phishing attack. For now, ignore the email and don’t click on any of the links it contains.
Meanwhile, log in via your browser and if you’re worried someone else has access then change your password, here are some tips.
You should also check you are the only user/administrator, if there’s anyone else set up with access to your site then delete them.
You might also consider two step authentication which provides an extra layer of security.

Hi @antonia1971, Luke is right. I can see you’ve changed your password, so good work there. Two step authentication is a good idea, too.
Please also consider changing your email password in case they’ve somehow accessed that.
