I searched but cannot find an answer to your question. I’m also not clear whether or not you have purchased a space upgrade and one is required for audio files, and I’m not clear whether or not you are refering to the wordpress.com aufio player or not.
See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/
See also > http://support.wordpress.com/audio/However the information I did find may be useful to you or not. See > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/05/17/audio-player-additional-options/
See also > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/12/05/alternative-audio-players/As for the CSS aspect of your question I’m afraid there is no Staff support and precious little Volunteer support so please be patient while waiting for a Volunteer who does provide help with CSS to reply to this thread. Are you aware that wordpress.com does provide a preview function here? Appearance > Edit CSS
CSS editing will allow you to stylize the appearance of themes you find here > Appearance > Themes, but it does not allow you to change the functionality, by editing the underlying template. Also note that CSS is theme specific, so you cannot use the CSS stylesheets from other themes with the themes here at wordpress.COM.
Lastly, this is a helpful post for those undertaking CSS editing > http://csswiz.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/if-you-have-the-wp-com-css-upgrade/

The code below will fix the audio player in your footer to the bottom right of the viewport except in IE versions up to and including 6 which don’t support this behaviour.
#text-4 #audioplayer1 {position:fixed; bottom:0; right:0;} -

Actually you don’t. If you add a text widget to one of your sidebars and use inline CSS you can still apply the styles. The resulting code will look something like this:
<div style="position:fixed;bottom:-1.5em;right:0;"> [audio URL-TO-FILE|bgcolor=0x000000] </div> -
