A Like on my blog
-
Someone clicked the Like button on my blog and it’s a link to something that I don’t want linked to on my blog. How do I remove the Like?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, regretfully it’s not possible to remove individual Likes. You would need to turn off Likes either on your entire site, from your Settings>Traffic dashboard, or disallow Likes on that post specifically from the Post Editor’s “Sharing” module.
If the user is spamming or linking their profile to spam or any other sites not allowed under the Terms of Use, you can report that person’s Gravatar on Gravatar while logged in to your own WordPressdotcom account. When you are, you’ll see a link at the bottom of the left column “Report Abuse.”
Hope that helps.

Hi thinkactlive,
Thanks for reporting this, I’ll pass the information on to our developers. As @justjennifer mentioned, there isn’t currently a way to remove individual likes but the like button can be removed as a workaround — this will mean your other likes are not displayed though.

Well thanks, Y’all, but it looks like porn spam. I’m afraid to click on it to report it because it may not be porn at all, but just a virus setup. The only way to report abuse that I’ve been able to find isn’t for a like, but for blogs. I can’t report a blog that I won’t go to because of virus concerns. That’s a shame about likes, because I don’t want to turn that off. Thanks for the info. I haven’t given up.

Hi again, If you click on a Like, it leads to a user profile on Gravatar, which is owned by the same company as WordPressdotcom. I wouldn’t click any link on the profile page itself, but as I mentioned above, if you are logged in to both WordPressdotcom and Gravatar, you should see the “Report Abuse” link in the left column and that will open a window much like reporting a site here on WordPressdotcom. If you want to report them without going that route you can at http://en.gravatar.com/support/contact-us/ Make sure you are logged in at Gravatar and mention the offending username involved. Thanks.
