a link in a post failed to open up for my readers, but not me when i tested it

I posted an article that contained a link to another document. before i published, i checked the link by going to preview and clicking on it (it worked fine and still does when i test it). i also emailed myself a copy of my article, opened it and then clicked on the link and that too worked fine. but i have gotten numerous complaints from people to whom i sent email links to my blog (WiseLawNY.wordpress.com) that they could not access the document by clicking on the link within the story. To correct the problem, i had to send a separate email with the linked document as an attachment.

I had created a “page” on my blog for the document i wanted to link to, and the url in the link should have taken the reader directly to that page. that is where i ended up when i clicked on the link in my tests.

How can i prevent this from happening again. what did i do wrong? thank you it is very important that i avoid this problem in the future. i send out email notices of my stories to about 500 people. i have a number of different groups, but none with more than 100 persons in it.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you’re talking about the “click here” link on your latest post, it won’t work because the URL you used isn’t the URL of the actual page, it’s the URL of a dashboard screen – and a preview screen at that.
The URL of the page is the one you can see when you edit the page, right below the title field. But first, have you published the page? What’s its exact title?
