a 'lost' website

    Dear all,

Herewith a rather embarrassing question. And I am even asking this for a friend of mine. This person made a wordpress website in 2006 and wants to have it removed. However she lost her login and password and on top of that she doesn’t remember (and doesn’t have) the email address with which she signed in.

Obviously she is not a computer genius (though made a wordpress website). Can anybody advise me what to do. I understand any moderators can not just delete a website as it is old. But can I provide some proof that this person is the initiator of this website that it can then be removed?

    It concerns: http://idealeorg.wordpress.com/

    Thanks in advance,
    Robert

You can do NOTHING. She can proceed as follows to recover the account so she can delete the blog.

Please click this link and complete the forum for account recovery. https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

You’re welcome. After she recovers the account she can delete the blog.

She must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered a blog to delete the blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click.
