A lot of spam the last few days

I have been getting a ridiculous amount of spam everyday. It from different ip addresses, but the author link points to various profiles on facebook. It has very easy to spam it, but very annoying. I looked in my spam folder and realized that I’ve been hit with about 1600 spam comments. I guess about 250 or so goth through and I had to spam manually and the rest Akismet scrubbed automatically.
Has anyone else noticed this as well? I wish there was a way to automatically spam any comment using facebook.com as their url. That would take care of about 99% of spam lately.
I was thinking of also automatically moderating all comments, or simply disabling comments altogether. I do enjoy the dialog between people commenting and I would hate to disable all comments.
I am hoping that support can help me out here.
