A moonphase feature
-
I had a feature that showed the phases of the moon on my old Typepad blog, but I’ll be darned if I can put it up on my WordPress blog. Help!
It’s a bit of a long code: <!– // Begin Current Moon Phase HTML (c) MoonConnection.com // –><table cellpadding=’0′ cellspacing=’0′ border=’0′ width=’128′><tr><td align=’center’><img src=’http://www.moonmodule.com/cs/dm/vn.gif’ width=’128′ height=’196′ border=’0′ alt=” />
<div style=’position:absolute;top:-20px;left:6px;background:#000000;width:116px;text-align:center;’><font color=’#7F7F7F’ size=’1′ face=’arial,helvetica,sans-serif’><span style=’color:#7F7F7F;font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:10px;’>moon phases</span></font></div></div></td></tr></table><!– // end moon phase HTML // –>
Thanks!

Hi there,
You can paste that code into a Text Widget on your WordPress.com blog. To add a text widget, you can head to your blog’s Customizer and open the Widgets section there. :)

Well, I wish. That was exactly what I did and I still get a black rectangle in which the moon phase should be as an image. But it’s just code.
Would WordPress be blocking it? I had it on a blog with typepad and that never happened.

Can you give me a link to the site where you added that widget? I can take a closer look at it to see why it isn’t showing up correctly.
