A REAL MYSTERY: Opening screen uneditable & undeletable

    Hello, all,

Please read this carefully and to the end of this post. Although it reads at first like the usual newbie wail of, “Where’s the editing icon for my post??”, it isn’t anything like that at all. There is a real mystery going on here, and I would much appreciate some insight/guidance as to solving it. My one previous attempt to do so here on this forum resulted only in the advice that the ‘mystery screen’ must be a post and so is editable/deletable via post protocols, even though it’s not a post.

[FWIW, my blog has no pages listed under the “PAGES” section of the Dashboard, either, but that is as it should be (I want to keep everything very simple).]

Although at first glance, the solution seems obvious (the initial “mystery” screen must be a post, so I should just go through ordinary post editing/deleting protocols), that isn’t what the actual situation is.

    The situation is this:
There is NO editable reference to this initial screen anywhere on Dashboard, any toolbox, or any other source. In fact, according to these, this initial opening screen does not even exist.

What actually FIRST displays on a viewer’s screen (unless that viewer has logged in as the blog’s owner) is a ‘non-post’ (for want of a better word, as it is not a page, and it is not a post… I don’t know what it is). Although this ‘non-post’ had originally been an earlier post by me that I had thought I’d deleted long ago, it instead has somehow been transmuted into that ‘non-post’ initial screen to my blog that every viewer first sees, and that I am completely unable to access myself to edit or delete.

My single true post (all one of them!) is indeed listed under the “POSTS” section of the Dashboard. And, yes, I can edit or delete that one post. However, there are NO other posts listed other than that one.

Also, when I’m logged into WordPress.com, I cannot bring up this opening screen ‘non-post.’ In fact, the only way to view this ‘non-post’ is to NOT log into WordPress.com, but instead to just enter my blog’s URL into a web browser, as would any ordinary viewer.

The ONLY way for a viewer to get to my one true post, or even to know that another view of my blog is even possible, would be for that viewer to somehow know to left-click their cursor while it is on the IMAGE that exists on that mysterious initial screen ‘non-post’ that comes up whenever someone enters my blog’s URL < http://ncpaaction.wordpress.com > into their browser.

    So, the question still remains:
What can I do to edit or delete the initial screen ‘non-post’ that displays whenever someone enters my blog URL into a web browser??

Many thanks in advance for all helpful ideas/insights!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
