A NEW blog added to my BLOG? HELP!
-
It was Debbie Schlussel’s blog I was referring to. She’s this far right woman who made the news dissing Lara Logan. Buta person is a person so that’s why I decided better tell someone.
-
These comments do not answer my question. If we are signed into wordpress.com and visit another wordpress.com blog we can see the gray navigation bar at the top of the blog we visit but we cannot view the dashboard. That is “normal”. However, if anyone can view actually anyone’s else’s dashboard ie. the Admin side of the blog in question then they must report this to Staff by using this link.
-
The fact that in my stats in ‘Clicks’ it shows the URL i have mentioned, it means it’s possible that MY dashboard was showing as @ocdbloggergirl mentioned about someone else, because there is no way something can show up in the ‘Clicks’ unless someone has clicked on something. I think i will report it to staff because although @wpgauray thought it was funny, i think it’s far from funny and could be a very serious problem.

Clicks
These are external links that appear on your blog, and are actually clicked by your readers. These may be (but are not limited to):
* Links you add to your post and page content.
* Links placed in comments by your readers.
* Links that appear in your blogroll.
* Links attached to the names of users who comment on your blog.

Thank you @timethief but that doesn’t explain how someone clicked a URL that is actually my Dashboard URL. I’ll send in to staff and see what they say. Thank you for a sensible reply, at least.

This is the URL for my dashboard. Please click it and observe what happens.

I was logged in and it led to my own Dashboard, but does the URL for your Dashboard now show in your ‘Clicks’? I’ll also just go and try it when i’m logged out…just to set my mind at rest hahaha
-
Well @timethief you are a genius as you have now set my mind at rest about this. I logged out and clicked the link and it led to a log in page, i certainly couldn’t get on your Dashboard. So alls well that ends well i guess. I’m happy with that. Cheers from Wales ;)

@janvtala
I’m glad that posting my example led you to comprehend what I don’t think others posting to this thread understand. We can click the Admin links to any other wordpress.com user’s blog when we are signed in and what happens is we ar automatically redirected to our own Admin page on our own blog. If we are logged out and we do the same we are confronted with a wordpress.com log-in page. We cannot access any other user’s dashboard. -
Yes, I could actually see the woman’s administrative bar. I could have edited as her and replied as her. I think it’s OK now though, so should I still report it?
Thanks -
Hi,
Just reported it and bookmarked that form in case other problems like that come about. That sort of thing always flusters me. Will let you know what the WordPress folks say and thanks very much. I had tried to find a contact wordpress link on their front page to no avail. Very thankful you had the link.
Take care,
Lisa -
@Lats,
Thanks so much for reporting this. I have also flagged this thread for Staff attention. -
You can find the link from @TT on this page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/ along with a ton of other helpful information.

@ocdbloggergirl Sorry, I don’t get it. If this debbieschlussel.com is the site you are talking about, it isn’t a WordPress.com site, not even a WP.com VIP blog, I don’t see a gray admin bar at the top when I’m logged in to WordPress.com and, even if there was, the Admin Bar on WordPress.com doesn’t have the functionality to allow you to reply as someone else. So I’m confused why it would be relevant to report this to WordPress.com Support.
If there is a glitch on that website then it would be best to either leave a comment there or use the blog owner’s contact page.
If you are talking about a WordPress.com website, then please give us a direct link, including the http:// part to make it clickable. Thanks

http://debbieschlussel.com (Her views aren’t my views. i just read for the shock value)
Pardon me for my ignorance. I just wanted to do the right thing. Perhaps she is a “wordpress.org” which I gather isn’t related to wordpress.com from what you say. Ths is the first time I’ve been on the forums.
Kind regards,
Lisa -
No need to apologize, just wanted to make sure we’re on the same page.
In case you haven’t seen them, there are two stickies at the top of the forums that are worth your time to read and will help to explain things:
