A new site

    I am retiring from the university where I work. I did not set-up my wordpress site there but I have been using it for a year and enjoying it. Now that I will be retired I would like to create a site of my own with Word Poress, How can I do that? Is it free? Can I copy features from the old site?

    Yes, you can create a free site, however, not all features are available on free plans. You can have a look here at all our plans and what they include:

    As for copying features, it all depends on what exactly do you have in mind :) If you can share some details, we may be able to advise better.

    I don’t know if the site you mentioned was hosted here, on WordPress.com, but bear in mind that if it was hosted elsewhere, there may be some differences. For example, check out this guide to our Block Editor:
