A New Way to Use the WP.com Reader

I never knew until today that I could follow blogs from around the web using the WP.com reader, even if those blogs aren’t on the WP.com themselves.
Go figure!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You didn’t used to be able to. I believe it only works on WP.org blogs that have the Jetpack plugin.

That may explain why some I follow have not been updating. I’m tagging this thread for a definitive answer from Staff on this.

You can follow any blog you want in the Reader as long as you have a link to the RSS feed. For example, the following link shows how an RSS feed from Blogger would look:
https://support.google.com/blogger/answer/97933?hl=enSo you can’t just add in a blog address for a non-WordPress site, but any RSS should work. (I just tested it on a blogger site, in fact, and it did add the posts to my Reader).

Thanks for the confirmation that the correct RSS Feed URL is all that’s required to folllow a blog that’s not hosted by WordPress.com. -
