A page specific for a post category

  I want to create a page that will act as an archive for one of my post categories of the same name.
  For example: I want to create a page called ‘dogs’. If you click on the ‘dogs’ page you can choose to view all my posts under the category called ‘dogs’.
  Is this possible? How?

  You don’t create a page, you create a custom menu that will include a link to that category. See this post of mine:
